Job Summary
Develop and execute sales strategy and tactics to enhance Cisco opportunities within state, municipal, and education customer environments. Lead a team of Strategic and Best-in-class Account Managers in territory, managing annual booking quotas and driving revenue production through accurate forecasting. Position the Customer Business and Partner Value proposition while leading Account Executives in developing and expanding opportunities within the SLED community. Maintain direct customer contact to make presentations and lead discussions that advance the sales process, reinforcing existing relationships and managing multi-million-dollar budgets. Manage a dispersed account team with both direct and indirect reports, requiring significant regional travel to MD, DE, WV, and the broader SLED-DE-MD-WV region.
Required Qualifications
- 10-years of technology sales and/or strategic leadership experience
- Ability to lead a dispersed account team with both direct and indirect reports and extended teams
- Has strategic technical knowledge and can succeed as a leader and mentor in a fast paced and rewarding sales environment
- Regional travel is required
- Must relocate or live in the listed Territory
- RM will need to travel to MD DE WV
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading a high-performance sales team is preferred for this role
- Possess a clear understanding of Public Sector Procurement Policies and understand the appropriate application of Resources and Public Sector buying cycles
- Solid track record of leading large accounts, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations skills, and short/mid/long term opportunity management
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets for product and service offerings
