Job Summary
Leader, Sales - Commercial in the DFW area leads an account team managing a broad portfolio and architecture teams, accountable for team performance and portfolio profitability. Builds and sustains long-term customer relationships with executives (e.g., CTO/CIO/CFO) and other stakeholders, collaborates to identify opportunities for upsell/cross-sell, and serves as the Account Orchestrator to align solutions with customer needs. Drives cross-portfolio growth through coordinated planning with partner, field, and virtual teams; leads product and services strategy across portfolios; maintains knowledge of Cisco’s full product portfolio; develops the sales funnel from opportunity development to closure; analyzes forecasts and presents data-driven account strategies to senior leadership; monitors industry trends and competitive landscapes; oversees annual sales cycle timelines and success metrics, including territory growth and renewal outcomes. The role requires leading teams, guiding executives, and coordinating cross-functional resources to achieve revenue and strategic objectives across multi-year deals, with sales cycle complexity varying by geography/segment.
Required Qualifications
- Team Leadership: Proven experience managing sales teams with full accountability for performance and profitability
- Executive Engagement: Ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers
- Sales Orchestration: Track record of aligning internal specialists and partners to drive cross-portfolio growth
- Pipeline Management: Proficiency in analyzing sales data, forecasting, and presenting account strategies to leadership
- Solution Selling: Experience aligning solutions with customer goals to drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities
