Job Summary
Leader in Training at a cannabis dispensary develops leadership skills while rotating through core dispensary functions to support operations, experience, and people. Responsibilities include supervising daily operations for compliance with security and regulations, overseeing inventory and deliveries, leading team members during programs and promotions, ensuring accurate cash handling, and enhancing the in-store customer journey. The role emphasizes coaching and onboarding, collaboration with the General Manager/Assistant GM to build a high-performing team, driving omni-channel customer experiences across in-store, drive-thru, curbside, and delivery, and advancing toward the Assistant General Manager position. Key skills include proactive leadership, communication, team motivation, scheduling, conflict resolution, confidentiality, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulatory cannabis environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of customer service or retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Cannabis experience preferred
- Inventory control experience preferred
- Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (varying shifts including mornings, days, nights, weekends)
- Must have reliable, responsible and dependable attendance
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must understand and comply with cannabis laws, rules and regulations
- Prior cannabis experience not required
