Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and facilitate youth programs and activities consistent with the Boys & Girls Club's development strategy. Ensure a safe, positive climate by supervising members, maintaining equipment, and diffusing trouble situations through one-on-one guidance and conflict resolution. Personally lead programming with enthusiasm, provide constructive feedback, and model positive values while utilizing assistants as needed. Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, supply organization, and bi-weekly reporting to the Director. Work part-time (20-25 hours/week) Monday through Friday, 1:45 PM to 5:45 PM, with summer hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CPR / First-Aid Training
- 2 + Years of experience in working with underserved children and tweens/teens
- Strong knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and implement positive behavior intervention
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, vendors & community
- Ability to review lessons, plan and implement quality programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Ability to perform activities with children
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds periodically
- Ability to work in environments with a wide array of noise and activity levels
