Lead Workforce Planning and Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary
Coordinate field resource deployment planning and execute scheduling for customer outages and projects using P6 software. Develop long-range forecasts for regional resource needs and execute short- and long-range plans based on business commitments. Interface with customer service managers to escalate issues and update project staffing requirements with Project Managers. Maintain databases tracking personnel history questionnaires and support training team deliverables through data analysis. Resolve technical issues requiring judgment within established procedures and consult senior members for complex matters. Lead junior teams and build strong customer relationships while serving as the primary interface between customers and GE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of applicable experience)
- 2 years project scheduling experience (i.e. industrial, capital, installation, production)
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Software (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Ability to work after hours and on weekends during peak business times
- Willingness and ability to travel (up to 10%) to Customer sites or San Jose Training Facilities
- Ability to obtain and keep unescorted access to Nuclear Plants
- This role is based in Wilmington, NC (but qualified remote candidates will be considered)
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
Desired Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Familiarity with scheduling software (P6 Primavera or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Tableau reporting system or equivalent
- Familiarity with Smartsheet and MS Teams collaboration software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with remote colleagues
- Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to follow through with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Self-starter and highly organized administrative skills
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

- Prioritizes and works well under pressure
