Job Summary
Oversee daily cleaning functions for public, work, and executive spaces while managing a team of custodians. Transport supplies and equipment across assigned buildings, assign rework to ensure 100% contract compliance, and mentor newly hired staff. Report facilities issues immediately, maintain floor surfaces, and perform emergency cleaning as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm at a set rate of $19.06. This federal role is part of the Ability One Program, providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license from state of residence and ability to drive, if applicable for site
- License must have been valid for at least 3 years
- If driving a 15 passenger van, must be at least 25 years old
- Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency's insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
- Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces
- Ability to lead and direct others
- Ability to determine accuracy and quality
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Ability to follow directions and focus on tasks
- Ability to report problems or relate information
- Ability to understand and comply with safety procedures and environmental requirements

Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid CPR/FR certification preferred
- Six months of custodial experience preferred
- Custodial training desired
- Van driving experience preferred
- Candidates with disabilities preferred
