Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections of assigned office, shop, and exterior areas to ensure timely, proper quality cleaning and clear discrepancies promptly. Assign and oversee custodial personnel, orienting new hires, completing work schedules, and ensuring adherence to safe cleaning procedures and company policies. Manage supply inventory, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and report operational problems, accidents, or equipment failures to the supervisor. Communicate with management and peers to maintain positive working relationships while resolving conflicts and addressing performance issues. Perform spot cleaning, high dusting, window washing, and grounds maintenance in accordance with contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a custodial operations facility or comparable setting
- Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating an agency vehicle
- Good driving record
- Valid driver's license
- Required level of personal auto insurance
- Must be able to complete a background check, per company requirements, satisfactorily
- Listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality
- Adequate ability to communicate in spoken conversation – adequate volume of speech
- Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers
- At least one year's experience in a similar position (lead role)
- Must be able to change routine positively
- Must be able to follow through on assignments independently
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must have a long attention span to listen to people, perceive real problems, and bring issues to a successful conclusion
- Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given point in time
- Must possess effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality

- Must have adequate individual coping skills
- Must be able to maintain good work attendance

- Some Lead Worker positions require working knowledge of computer operations, such as Microsoft Word
- Completion of spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
