Job Summary
Oversee daily cleaning functions for public, work, executive, and command areas while leading a team of custodians. Transport supplies and equipment to assigned buildings, assign rework, and ensure 100% compliance with contract specifications. Mentor new hires, assist with training on proper cleaning procedures, and report facilities issues such as broken fixtures immediately. Perform routine tasks including disinfecting restrooms, descaling showers, scrubbing tile, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning elevators and stairwells. Move and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs as needed and assist with special events or emergency cleaning. Work Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 11:00pm at a set pay rate of $19.13. Valid driver's license required; van driving experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license from state of residence and ability to drive, if applicable for site
- License must have been valid for at least 3 years
- If driving a 15 passenger van, must be at least 25 years old
- Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency's insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
- Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces
- Ability to lead and direct others
- Ability to determine accuracy and quality
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Ability to follow directions and focus on tasks
- Ability to report problems or relate information
- Ability to understand and comply with safety procedures and environmental requirements

Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid CPR/FR certification preferred
- Six months of custodial experience preferred
- Custodial training desired
- Van driving experience preferred
- Candidates with disabilities preferred
