Job Summary
Lead Wireless Engineer responsible for designing and implementing wired/wireless LANs, performing site surveys and RF analysis, documenting designs and integration approaches, and leading a team in deploying secure wireless networks (WPA2/3, 802.1x, RADIUS). Requires Cisco wireless expertise, DoD 8140 compliance, DoD Secret clearance, 40–60% travel, and ability to work with military/government customers. Emphasizes wireless engineering with Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 knowledge, Ekahau/AirMagnet tooling, and strong technical writing. Based in Ashburn with remote work option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or experience (6 years)
- Cisco wireless professional certifications
- DoD 8140 Cyber IT Workforce compliant
- Experience in general networking and network administration
- Experience with team leading, site survey, site installation and configuration of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wireless Network equipment
- Experience deploying Network Access Control is a plus
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- US citizenship
- Ability to travel up to 40-60% of the time
- Valid driver's license
