Job Summary
Lead Wind Farm Field Service Technician at Bodangora Wind Farm near Dubbo, NSW. Lead the resident site team in maintenance, troubleshooting, annual maintenance, retrofit works, and major component exchanges on GE wind turbines. Act as the State Nominated Electrical Supervisor (QTP) and Delegate to the High Voltage Operating Authority. Follow GE manuals, come with a working knowledge of electrical installation standards, manage safety programs (SWMS, LOTO, QA/QC), prepare work plans, and report issues. Lead training for site technicians, support continuous improvement, and handle on-call duties with potential overtime; travel to other sites as required. The role requires a current NSW electrical supervisor/contractor license, HV operating certificate or ability to obtain one, and strong leadership, communication, and fault-finding skills.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Workers License Electrical as either a Qualified supervisor (S) or Contractor (C) in the state of New South Wales
- Nominated Electrical Supervisor in accordance with the Registered Electrical Contractors license
- High Voltage Operating Authority (HVOA) delegation
- Current High Voltage operating certificate or ability to gain one
- Experience leading a site team (minimum 3 years)
- Proven experience in high voltage switching and operations
- Proficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic)
- Ability to climb turbines and perform physically demanding tasks at heights
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to other sites
- Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement
