Lead Welding Trainer

Job Summary
Design and deliver structured welding training programs for new and existing employees while conducting weekly hands-on sessions. Provide targeted coaching and retraining based on performance gaps, ensuring all welders maintain compliance with ASC and AWS certification standards. Partner with Quality Control to identify defects and implement corrective plans, while collaborating with production and safety teams to drive continuous improvement in workforce capability. Maintain a strong shop floor presence to enforce standards and support new hire onboarding. Analyze repair rates and rework trends to identify training opportunities and oversee the implementation of new welding technologies and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of proven Welding expertise experience
- Minimum 3 years of training, coaching and mentoring welders
- Strong Knowledge of AWS codes and certifications requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Highly preferred: CWI or CWE Certifications
