Job Summary
Lead Welder responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing on various gauges of metal according to mechanical drawings, specifications or other forms of instruction. MIG welding on steel and aluminum is required; TIG experience is a plus. Interpret drawings and specifications including weld requirement symbology. Perform light and heavy arc and gas welding on items such as frames, racks, metal casings, trucks, skids, low pressure tanks, welding and brazing of dies, etc., using welding machines and acetylene equipment. Conduct grinding operations and maintain welding equipment. Possess leadership/supervisory experience and the ability to communicate with the team and Plant Manager. Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of welding and fabrication experience
- MIG welding experience on steel and aluminum is required
- TIG experience is a plus
- Leadership/Supervisory experience
- Ability to work off of Mechanical Drawings and Specifications
