Job Summary
Supervise a crew on an 8-unit web press while maintaining product quality, productivity, and safety standards. Operate high-speed delivery equipment in a standing position for full shifts, managing mechanical tasks and ensuring rapid output. Perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, reaching overhead, and occasionally climbing or kneeling. Monitor operations during Wednesday through Saturday shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, adhering to mandatory overtime requirements when needed. Work within a leading print and publishing service provider that produces magazines, catalogs, and scientific journals.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED/HiSET
- 4 years of total printing experience
- 3 years of related printing experience or equipment experience
- Mechanical ability
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform work productively and safely
- Reliability and good attendance
- Ability to work at a rapid pace
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 lbs. frequently
- Ability to work while frequently standing, walking, handling, and reaching/working overhead
- Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, sit, crouch, and crawl
- Good visual acuity
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed
- Ability to work Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM – 36 hours/week
