Job Summary
Lead Loop’s Web Development function to guide the Shopify ecosystem and ecommerce platform. Build and mentor a team of Web Developers responsible for Loop’s ecommerce experience, shaping technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, frontend performance, integrations, accessibility, experimentation tooling, and platform scalability. Stay hands-on through code reviews, debugging, and contribution where valuable while championing AI-assisted development tooling and modern practices. Partner with Ecommerce, CRO, SEO, Data & Analytics, Brand, Expansion, and Product stakeholders to translate business opportunities into scalable technical solutions and drive Loop’s global growth. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering a faster, more scalable, and innovative ecommerce platform.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in ecommerce web development, frontend engineering, or Shopify-focused digital product environments
- previous people leadership or mentoring experience within engineering or web development teams
- strong Shopify and ecommerce platform expertise, with the ability to guide architecture and engineering decisions confidently
- deep curiosity about modern development tooling, AI-assisted engineering, and the future of ecommerce experiences
- comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on technical involvement
- strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- passion for building high-performing teams, not just high-performing code
