Lead Warehouse Specialist (Transportation Ops Night Shift)

Job Summary
Lead daily shipping operations for the night shift, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods while coordinating with team members and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Conduct tier 1 meetings, participate in safety committees, and perform comprehensive pre-shift walkthroughs to identify and address risks. Resolve operational obstacles, allocate resources, and balance volume across the shift through direct communication with leadership. Develop ideas for operational improvements using LEAN practices, provide training to team members, and uphold a 5S culture. Complete all required paperwork and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures. Assist management with safety and security issues and contribute to root cause accident analyses.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience in and familiarity with systems, tools, or processes
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment
- Basic level of computer skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of the operation of power/mobile equipment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly, up to 150 pounds infrequently
- Ability to operate manual pallet jacks
- Physically able to handle repetitive lifting, climbing, standing, and walking
- Ability to perform the duties performed by the associates they lead
