Job Summary
Lead Warehouse Material Handler with hybrid driving duties responsible for loading/unloading tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse, operating forklifts and pallet equipment, and supporting inventory control. Roles include using scanners, performing cycle counts, training new hires, assisting with ecomm and will-call tasks, and serving as the face of the company during deliveries (10-20 per day). Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs, work safely at heights, and drive box trucks or semis on routes while maintaining quality customer service. Requires 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, one year of driving and warehouse experience, forklift certification, ability to pass drug test and DOT requirements, and willingness to work overtime (including mandatory overtime Sep-Dec).
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- 1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi)
- satisfactory completion of company road test
- 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and up to 80 pounds
- Ability to exert a pushing force up to 40 pounds
- Ability to be trained to safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts
- Pass a forklift certification test
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
