Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities while fostering a love of learning through creative methods. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment by managing daily routines, addressing behavioral issues with positive guidance, and supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, conduct conferences, and encourage family involvement. Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety guidelines. Participate in ongoing professional development, stay current with early childhood education best practices, and collaborate with staff to share strategies. No nights, weekends, or holidays. High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
