Job Summary
Lead visual merchandising and display by partnering with management to map, plan, and execute floorset timelines that drive sales and seasonal strategy. Maintain daily disciplines for markdowns, promotions, replenishment, and recovery while analyzing reports to improve profitability. Collaborate on adaptations to store layouts, communicate inventory needs to distribution, and partner with leadership on associate productivity, performance, and talent motivation. Guide new hires through visual training and skill-building activities. Model genuine customer interest by connecting available inventory to design support and adhere to all safety and company policies. Perform projects as directed by the management team.
Required Qualifications
- Effective communication, organization and leadership skills
- Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples
- Ability to be active, standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching and lifting for extended periods of time
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts during the week
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred
- 1-2 years experience in home related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred
- specialty retail preferred, but not required
