Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day shop operations by supervising maintenance work, conducting offsite road repairs, and performing preventative maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles. Ensure fleet DOT compliance through annual inspections, safety checks, and strict adherence to safe work practices. Complete daily checklists, submit tracking paperwork for PM schedules, and immediately communicate unit issues upon discovery. Maintain a clean work environment and verify equipment parking meets facility permit and DOT requirements. Perform other assignments as directed by management.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of diesel engine experience
- 1+ years DOT inspection experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work in team environment
- Must be versed in all aspects e.g. electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines etc
- Demonstrates complete proficiency in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of the following units: heavy duty forklift, roll off truck, forklifts, pick up trucks, box trucks, tractors, and tankers
- Demonstrates complete proficiency in tooling and equipment diagnostic, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire
