Job Summary
Lead VDC Engineer manages the information that utilizes the building model and supports the regional VDC leadership and implementation efforts for large projects. The role coordinates with on-site VDC engineers, BIM engineers, and operations to implement and manage the project’s VDC execution plan. Essential duties include supporting regional VDC training, developing and maintaining VDC execution plans, disseminating information, QA oversight of model reliability, archiving models, assisting in adopting new software and processes, creating VDC coordination schedules, aligning survey data with 3D models, supporting estimating and procurement through model development, participating in reporting, and supporting QC audits.
Required Qualifications
- A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on large commercial construction project.
