Job Summary
Lead the User Intelligence Research practice across product areas, driving the shift from episodic UX studies to connected, cumulative user intelligence. Plan and conduct connected studies, build data acquisition mechanisms, and accelerate learning velocity through research platforms and AI-enabled workflows. Collaborate with research ops to enable access to users, partner with CX, data scientists, analysts, designers, and engineering to define UX metrics, triangulate behavioral analytics with qualitative insights, and translate findings into actionable insights and activation for product roadmaps. Requires proven ability to lead independent, high-impact research programs, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex findings clearly. Advanced degree in Human Factors, HCI, Statistics, Data Science, or Behavioral Economics preferred; Capital One sponsorship for new applicants not available. This is a hybrid, multi-location role with 3 days onsite per week in New York, McLean, or Richmond, VA. Salary ranges are location-specific and reflect full-time earnings; role includes incentive opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in User Experience Research, Data Science, or Customer Experience Research
- At least 3 years of experience aggregating, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
- At least 2 years of experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects or research programs
