Lead Ultrasound Vascular Technologist

Job Summary
Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment while monitoring supplies and implementing standard precautions for all patients. Review medical histories and verify physician orders before conducting sonographic examinations, then inspect images for quality and proper identification prior to radiologist interpretation. Perform advanced services such as PICC lines, PVRs, and ABI tests as delegated, and provide preliminary reports and document delays in EPIC. Assist in training new technologists and residents, oversee daily staffing, and supervise assigned personnel's performance. Ensure equipment operates at optimal levels through quality control and report malfunctions immediately. Complete daily exam data entry, confirm PACS transmission, and attend monthly staff meetings. Adjust to variable schedules and procedure techniques as required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Certified with ARDMS Registry certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN + RVT
- Muscoloskeletal (RMSKS) certification
- BLS/CPR certification
- Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Equivalent to the above education
- Effective communication skills
- Good judgment
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to plan, organize, direct and control activity
Desired Qualifications
- Muscoloskeletal (RMSKS) certification preferred, but not required
