Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of internal tissues for diagnosing conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students while maintaining equipment and verifying operational status prior to daily utilization. Provide direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning patients, and monitoring vital signs. Summarize, document, and present findings to physicians; maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Requires ARDMS or CCI certification in Abdomen, Obstetrics, or Vascular. Full-time day shift position at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
