Job Summary
Direct high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas to capture quality images of tissues, organs, and pathology for physician diagnosis. Position and prepare patients for procedures while monitoring vital signs and intervening for complications. Summarize, document, and present findings, calculations, and measurements to medical staff. Maintain accurate records, file billing information, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Verify equipment operational status daily and maintain all ultrasound machinery. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
