Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of tissues, organs, and vessels for physician diagnosis. Produce images monitoring conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer while supervising and mentoring ultrasound students. Provide direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning patients, preparing rooms, and monitoring vital signs. Maintain accurate records, file billing information, and verify equipment operational status prior to daily use. Adhere to accepted protocols, precautions, and standards while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
