Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of internal tissues for diagnosing conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Direct patient care by assessing condition, positioning equipment, preparing patients, and monitoring vital signs while intervening for complications. Summarize, document, and present findings to physicians, maintain accurate billing records, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Verify equipment operational status prior to daily use and maintain all devices. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
