Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures by directing high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas to capture images of internal tissues for diagnosing conditions like heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Summarize, document, verify, and present findings to physicians while providing direct patient care, including positioning patients and monitoring vital signs. Maintain equipment operational status, prepare rooms for subsequent procedures, and ensure accurate billing and HIPAA-compliant record-keeping. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students. This role is based in The Dalles, Oregon, at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge, a 49-bed hospital serving the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
