Job Summary
Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of internal tissues for diagnosing conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Position patients, prepare them for exams, and monitor vital signs while assessing reactions to complications. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students, maintain accurate medical records, and verify equipment operational status before daily use. Adhere to strict protocols and HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality. This role supports Adventist Health Columbia Gorge's 49-bed hospital and birthing center in The Dalles, Oregon, serving the Columbia River Gorge community.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
