Job Summary
Direct high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas to capture images of tissues, organs, and pathology for physician diagnosis. Provide direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning equipment, preparing patients, and monitoring vital signs. Summarize, document, and present findings while maintaining accurate billing records and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Verify equipment operational status prior to daily use and maintain all ultrasound machinery. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This role supports Adventist Health Columbia Gorge's 49-bed hospital and birthing center in The Dalles, serving the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
