Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols to diagnose and monitor conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Direct high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas to capture quality images of tissues, organs, vessels, and pathology, then summarize, document, verify, and present findings to physicians. Provide direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning patients and equipment, preparing for procedures, and monitoring vital signs for complications. Maintain equipment operational status, verify room readiness, and ensure accurate records, billing, and HIPAA compliance. This full-time day shift role at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge includes supervision of ultrasound students and requires ARDMS or CCI certification in Abdomen, Obstetrics, or Vascular specialties.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
