Job Summary
Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of tissues, organs, and pathology for physician diagnosis. Assess patient conditions, position equipment, monitor vital signs, and intervene for complications during direct patient care. Summarize findings, document measurements, and present results while maintaining accurate billing records and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Verify equipment operational status daily and maintain all ultrasound machinery. This role includes mentoring ultrasound students and performing other assigned duties within a 49-bed hospital setting in The Dalles, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
