Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols to produce images of internal body tissues for diagnosing conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Direct high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas to capture quality images, then summarize, document, and present findings to physicians. Provide direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning patients and equipment, and monitoring vital signs while observing for complications. Maintain accurate records, file billing information, and verify equipment operational status prior to daily utilization. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other patient confidentiality regulations throughout all duties.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgment of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
