Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of internal body tissues for diagnosing conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning patients, preparing for procedures, and monitoring vital signs while observing for complications. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students, maintain equipment operational status, and summarize findings for physicians. Maintain accurate records, file billing information, and ensure image integrity in compliance with HIPAA. Requires ARDMS or CCI certification in Abdomen, Obstetrics, or Vascular. Full-time day shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school: Required
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS): Required
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS): Required
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
