Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols to diagnose and monitor conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Direct high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas to capture quality images of tissues, organs, vessels, and pathology, then summarize, document, and present findings to physicians. Provide direct patient care by assessing conditions, positioning patients, preparing for procedures, and monitoring vital signs. Maintain equipment, verify operational status prior to daily use, and ensure accurate records and billing while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students. Requires ARDMS or CCI certification in Abdomen, Obstetrics, or Vascular; Bachelor's degree preferred. Full-time day shift role at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
