Job Summary
Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to capture images of internal tissues for diagnosing conditions like heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Position patients, prepare them for exams, and monitor vital signs while providing direct patient care. Maintain accurate records, file billing information, and verify equipment operational status prior to daily use. Summarize findings and present images to physicians for diagnosis. Supervise and mentor ultrasound students as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS)
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
