Job Summary
Patrol and secure multiple Tribal properties while enforcing policies, curfews, and ordinances to maintain a safe environment. Supervise officers by managing shift schedules, assigning patrol routes, and monitoring performance. Review security footage and door access logs, then complete incident reports and submit them to the supervisor. Develop and deliver training on emergency procedures and conflict resolution, while acting as the primary contact for external agencies. Perform seasonal duties including snow removal, debris clearance, and building inspections. Maintain inventory of security hardware and radios, and respond to emergencies according to established protocols.
Required Qualifications
- A drivers' license
- Knowledge of appropriate Tribal, state, and local laws relating to domestic violence and crime victims, legal terminology, and court practices and procedures
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Publisher
- Ability to interview victims and obtain relevant information, communicating effectively in a culturally sensitive manner
- Excellent verbal and written skills, including strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills
- Certification in CPR and AED (Automated external defibrillator)
- Ability to shovel snow, sweep entrances, pick up debris
- Ability to organize, recognize and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for each tribal building
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Availability to work evening and weekend hours
- Ability to work independently, to work under supervision and to work in a team based and goal-oriented environment
- Demonstration of project management skills, including facility in managing and prioritizing projects with multiple and often competing deadlines, and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Local travel
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
- Ability to employ professional verbal and written communications skills continually and effectively
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
