Job Summary
Lead Treatment Specialist responsibilities include assisting the Unit Manager in supervising and training Youth Care Workers, ensuring staffing, safety, and licensing compliance, and supporting behavior management and reporting. The role requires modeling Trauma-Informed Care, coordinating with therapists and other staff, developing activity schedules, overseeing medication administration and incident reporting, and facilitating communication and training to maintain a cohesive treatment team for residents in a licensed shelter-care setting.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field, or special education with certification for emotional disturbance or learning disabilities and experience which is specifically related to the client population being served.
- Have at least two years of experience in public or private institutional child care for the type of population being served.
