Job Summary
This role involves the design of High Voltage (69kV-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD software. Key responsibilities include developing construction documents, coordinating design aspects of projects, estimating construction costs, and specifying materials. The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving abilities, be analytical and self-motivated, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 7 years of experience, and a PE license are required, with a preference for experience in Transmission Line Engineering and knowledge of specific software tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- Minimum of 7 years’ engineering experience
- 5 years of Transmission Line Engineering or related experience
- PE license required
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
- Experience working with or for a Utility
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE
