Lead Transmission Line Engineer

Job Summary

Design Power Delivery Infrastructure systems including transmission lines, distribution lines, and substations by preparing conceptual and detailed calculations for construction documents. Lead project teams in an active production role while directing winning proposals, scope definitions, fee estimations, and contract negotiations. Serve as the executive-level point of contact for key utility clients and cultivate high-level relationships with major electric utilities, cooperatives, and developers. Mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and drive the strategic growth of the transmission engineering practice.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of design experience in engineering specifically in any of the following: transmission, distribution, or communication line design
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • PE or ability to obtain within 12 months

  • Ability to design structures using multiple materials
  • Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)
  • Transmission Line Modeling (PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole) experience
  • Experience with lattice towers
