Job Summary
Lead Training and Development Specialist for Metro Housing's HomeBASE program in Boston. Responsible for creating and maintaining training curriculums, coordinating with the Operations Manager on audit trends, organizing monthly Staff Education meetings, developing modernized training tools, and coaching staff to support growth within the agency. Duties include preparing Standard Operating Procedures, delivering training both virtually and on-site at agencies, helping staff provide professional service to participants and landlords, ensuring compliance with EOHLC regulations, coordinating policy updates, entering data into E2E and CMS, and collaborating with the Director and Program Managers on training needs. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two in-office days per week at 1411 Tremont Street, Boston, MA, and one FA manager meeting per month. Attends HomeBASE trainings and events as required. Preferred qualifications include multilingual skills and proximity to Metro Housing Boston headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, social work, or a related field (preferred)
- Two (2) years’ experience in case management or affordable housing programs for households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including supervisory or coordinator level
- Ability to plan, schedule, assign, monitor, train, and evaluate the work of team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, CMS, and ETO
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience creating training videos and screen recordings

- Multilingual skills (Vietnamese, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Toisanese, Spanish)
