Job Summary
Develop and implement weekly lesson plans and program goals while interacting with all children to encourage their individual development daily. Maintain necessary program records, including accident and incident reports, sign-in/out sheets, and attendance logs, ensuring full compliance with DHS procedures and YMCA policies. Provide a safe, clean, and risk-free environment by supervising all students, using age-appropriate positive guidance to support their involvement in activities, and addressing parental concerns through direct communication. Greet families daily and uphold all licensing and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 30 credit hours of early childhood, elementary or related human services field education
- 15 college credit hours and one-year experience related to the care
- Current CDA certificate
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
- Must keep an up-to-date DHS file
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
