Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming space where toddlers can play, learn, and grow while implementing the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®. Guide and mentor other educators, adapt teaching approaches to individual developmental needs, and prioritize a safe, nurturing environment. Regularly update parents on progress and milestones through mobile apps and in-person discussions, while collaborating with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals. Cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues, ensuring children's daily needs are met through active supervision, conflict resolution, and developmentally appropriate activities. Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F, lifting objects up to 40 pounds, and maintain full physical alertness to meet essential job functions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- ECE coursework
- Extended experience in a childcare setting
- History of classroom leadership roles
- Deep-rooted passion for early childhood education
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- State-specific guidelines for the role
- State and federal requirements including immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds safely
- Ability to reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use a stool or ladder to access high places as needed
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Ability to work outdoors during portions of the day in temperatures ranging from 20°F (with wind chill) to 95°F
- Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and a consistent energy level to meet essential job functions
