Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage toddlers' growth while maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations, and well-being protocols. Maintain open communication with families regarding daily progress and observe, assess, and document learning to inform activities. Support assistant and resource teachers through collaborative teamwork and model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional development. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
