Job Summary
Lead Toddler Teacher responsible for designing age-appropriate, inquiry-based lesson plans for 1- to 3-year-olds; foster a nurturing and safe atmosphere; regularly communicate with parents about child progress; collaborate with fellow educators to create a dynamic learning community; support from On-Site Owner and Directors with planning time; participate in a culture that recognizes teachers through raises and recognition programs; join a Goddard School in Wadsworth with a strong emphasis on growth, CEUs, and internal promotion potential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles
- Skilled at developing relationships and communicating effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
- Is dependable, adaptable and enjoys working in teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs
- Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
