Job Summary
Lead Test Engineer in Bucharest responsible for acting as the legal manager of a QA engineering team within the Private Bank division, hands-on QAA engineering in a global setting, developing robust new test suites and maintaining automation frameworks. Lead goal-setting sessions, conduct performance reviews, mentor manual QA engineers transitioning to automation, and drive knowledge sharing. Design innovative, sustainable testing solutions aligned with the Bank's strategic direction; provide leadership on testing strategy, framework design, and best practices; stay current with industry trends and drive adoption of new technologies; influence stakeholders to uphold industry best practices; collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to align technical roadmaps. Requires minimum 7 years in QA/automation with at least 2 years in a lead role, strong Java-based automation experience (Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber/Gherkin), exposure to CI/CD, databases, and Agile methodologies; English fluency and a BS in CS/Software Engineering (or equivalent).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on QA/automation
- At least 2 years in a lead capacity
- Strong Java programming skills for test automation
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber/Gherkin
- Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC
- SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- English proficiency
Desired Qualifications
