Job Summary
Validate next-generation automation controller product lines and IO modules by designing optimal test systems and automated fixtures. Drive productivity improvements while reducing test coverage without compromising quality, working in self-motivated teams to derive validation requirements and break down test development tasks. Develop test strategies from product definition through production release, utilizing PLC programming languages and industrial protocols like MODBUS TCP and PROFINET to execute system-level tests. Make technical presentations on architecture and risks, interface with architects on complex issues, and adjust communication styles for diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience with domain knowledge in Industrial automation and related products like Programmable controllers - PLCs, DCS, I/O modules
- Industrial Communication protocols like MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, ETHERCAT, IEC61850 Client and Server, IEC104 Client/Server, DNP3 Master/Slave, HMI/SCADA etc.
- Programming skills using scripting languages like Python
- Test automation for Industrial control system and IO modules
- Basic experience with programming language like C#, C++ used for Test Automation purpose
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial Automation Knowledge and exposure in using Controller programming/HMI software is added advantage
