Job Summary
Design and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and scripts for applications and integrated systems while implementing and tuning automated testing frameworks. Conduct multi-layer testing including functional, performance, security, and regression testing, and support system-level integration to validate end-to-end functionality. Develop defect management plans, categorize and track software defects, and produce metrics visualizations for testing trends. Maintain synthetic test data, documentation repositories, and participate in technical reviews across smartphones, laptops, and desktops. Requires 10–14 years of experience, mandatory automated testing expertise, and U.S. citizenship. Located in Suitland, MD, with a salary range of $104,000 - $160,000.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10–14 years of experience
- Automated testing experience
- Expertise in multi-layer testing (functional, performance, security, regression, UAT, and more)
- Demonstrated experience with system-level and integration testing across complex, interconnected systems
- Experience creating synthetic and integrated test data and managing defect lifecycles
- Proficiency in producing test analysis reports, metrics, and data visualizations
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- ISTQB Certified Tester / Certified Agile Testing
- Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)
- Experience in testing in Agile, Iterative, Incremental, and Waterfall methodologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD test automation integration and screen-recording/synthetic data tooling
- Experience with Section 508 testing coordination
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
