Lead Technician, Power Systems Data Center

Job Summary
Oversee assigned workload in the Power Systems Data Center, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, repairing, and conducting failure analyses on customer machines. Execute scheduled fluid and filter replacements, operate equipment for load bank testing, and perform oil sampling according to client specifications. Act as the primary contact between the technician team and onsite clients, signing off on customer-maintained work orders and communicating equipment status. Complete factual service, load bank, and inspection reports daily while maintaining clean work areas and adhering to all safety policies and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Two years minimum experience working on power systems equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge on how to read schematics, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, remove and install machine components and systems
- Must have a current driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English)
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs in accordance with Western States' Lifting Safe Work Practice
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems
- Ability to use SIS, Microsoft A/X, and ET
- Ability to start and run power systems equipment
- Ability to drive for long periods of time
- Consistent attendance
- Must be able to work overtime with minimal notice required
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree or technical training from an accredited vocational school preferred
- Minimum of one-year previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to self-schedule and perform duties with minimal supervision required
- Ability to quickly assess situation and make logical decisions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others to include customers, vendors, employees, and the public
