Job Summary
Install, commission, and service two-way radio, camera, access control, LPR, vehicle, and low-voltage systems while pulling, terminating, and testing cabling in commercial, public safety, and government environments. Lead multi-day or multi-person install jobs, coordinating with project managers and sales to ensure site readiness and customer expectations are aligned. Perform vehicle and RF installations including antennas, radios, sirens, and lightbars, maintaining vehicles, tools, and test equipment in working order. Participate in on-call rotation as needed. Complete documentation, service orders, and job closeout accurately to ensure clean work and minimal rework.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced in hands-on installation and service work involving radio, camera, low-voltage, or similar systems
- Comfortable leading a crew while still doing the physical work yourself
- Confident working at heights, on lifts, on rooftops, in basements, and under vehicles
- Strong with hand tools, power tools, test equipment, ladders, and cabling
- Clear, professional communicator who is organized and accountable
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable learning new systems, tools, and company software
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass required background and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant field installation experience
- Prior lead tech, foreman, or crew chief experience
- Experience with Motorola, Kenwood, L3Harris, or similar systems
- Experience with LPR, CCTV, access control, or other low-voltage/security installs
- Industry certifications such as OSHA, tower, lift, or manufacturer training
