Job Summary
Lead network and cabling infrastructure installation and decommissioning within data center environments, delivering sustainable, repeatable solutions with a focus on continuous improvement. Provide leadership to crews of five or more technicians, managing job walks, troubleshooting copper and fiber systems, and performing field terminations, splicing, and labeling. Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, quality codes, and industry best practices while ensuring Data Center cleanliness. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve project obstacles, track SLA metrics, and coordinate with QAQC on quality status walks. Read blueprints, comprehend wiring schemes, and submit accurate timesheets for crew reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced in fusion splicing
- Should know how to pull all types of low voltage cables
- Must be capable of leading a crew of 5+ technicians
- Must understand customer service
- Must be capable of performing job walks
- Must be capable of communicating with customer
- Accept responsibility for the outcome of work performed by employees that report to him/her
- Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools
- Clear understanding of job safety requirements
- Be able to read and understand job floor plan
- Should be familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing
- Should understand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling
- Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork
- Capable of running midsize to large projects and service jobs
- Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets
- Dress all types of cable
- Perform terminations
- Should include understanding of fiber equipment

- Understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting
- Shall be able to work on analog, DSL, and be able to extend T1 lines
- Be able to patch network equipment
- Track and submit timesheets for crew reporting
- Copper/Fiber (term, test, splice, troubleshoot)
- Effectively communicate with Foreman, Leads, Techs
- Understanding metrics/SLA's and able to track
- Coordinates with QAQC on quality status walks
- Knowledge and understanding of Project Close Out
- Identify the tech's strengths and weaknesses
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for Visa Sponsorship now or in the future
